8bit Atari

My good old times with Atari 800XL...

I want post here some general Atari informations and informations about my old Atari projects (I hope I find something). Currently you can see only few screenshots of my last Atari projects...

Color Palette
Language: Pure 6502 assembler
I have had black and white TV for my Atari only. In case of my new colorfull project, I just connected color TV in parents living room and by this program simply selects colors for my new project... :-)

DOS 2.5 ramdisk.com replacement
Language: Pure 6502 assembler
Alternative Q-MEG operating system was designed for extended 256kB Ataris. But a lot of these extended Ataris have had 320kB. And these 64kB "difference" RAM was unaccessible by any OS. This program is able to access this memory in the same way as next 64kB on Atari 130XE under DOS 2.5 (device D8:). Other goal is, that these ramdisks are NOT formated, this means that ramdisk content is preserved through reboots.

TOS 4.1 extension ("binary load" support)
Language: Pure 6502 assembler
Atari DOS binary format is cool (supports multisegment programs with more than one init and run adresses). It is usable on casette too, but horribly SLOW (600 bps). Czech casette Turbo 2000 format (2000 bps) is much faster, but is braindead in case of multisegment programs. TOS (Turbo Operating System) is great for data (implemens D: devices as Turbo 2000 in 1k blocks) but have not Binary load. Then I add it. Now you can copy any DOS binary file from diskette to Turbo 2000 1k blocks and run it from casette!

Text game "Prochazka v C..." ("A walk in C...")
Language: ANSI C
This was my first try to program something in C (on the Amiga computer). In the years I compiled this project on almost every platform I have ever met. Finally for Atari too (thanks to great cc65 crosscompiler project). You can download x86 Linux binary on my x86 subpage... :-)
